Overview

GI Pro are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter for a manufacturer of variety of shopfloor machines as grinders, millers and turners
Working a day shift Monday - Friday
Paying Up to £18/ph depending on experience
Overtime is available at enhanced rates
This is a full-time permanent role with immediate starts

The company - Supplier to the automotive, aerospace, and industrial

The role:

Assembling components using 2D drawings and 3D models for reference
Finding and fixing faults in hydraulic and pneumatic pipework on existing and new fixtures
Carrying out planned maintenance checks on existing customer fixtures
Responding to emergency calls from customers
Conserving resources wherever possible to ensure budgetary integrity
Adhering to installation timelines
Completing installation reports throughout the installation

Candidate attributes

You will be mechanical biased with a good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic control and actuation systems
You will have a good knowledge of engineering science and technology, ideally able to understand 24v control and automation systems, PLC, and RFID programming knowledge
You will have a good understanding of CNC machine tools
You will be resourceful with the ability to improvise to ensure minimal downtime

Morning shifts (early finish on Friday)
Overtime opportunities paid 1,5x
