This well-funded start-up company is taking on intricate projects which will increase access to innovative medical treatments. They are looking to build their engineering team with driven people, skilled in the development of automated and robotic manufacture.
This role requires a Mechanical Design Engineer with specialist interests in electronics and precision engineering. You will design robotic manufacturing systems that are able to reliably perform exacting tasks time and again, and your work will encompass delicate manipulation devices to whole-warehouse scale robotics. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also mentor other team members and support them with their designs, ensuring demanding deadlines are met without compromising on quality .
Requirements:
Commercial experience designing and developing electro-mechanical products and supporting them into manufacture, backed by good knowledge of electronics and control systems Demonstrable experience developing either precise complex devices at the 10’s-microns to 10’s-mm length-scale, or large-scale automation systems (or both) Excellent skills with both analytical design techniques (e.g. tolerance analysis) and 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred) Full, unlimited rights to work in the UK
Previous experience with developing medical devices, life science instruments, consumer products, automotive, or aerospace products would be preferred, but is not essential.
