The Job

Navartis are currently searching for Mechanical Fitters to join a respected business in the manufacturing sector based in Doncaster.

This role will see you as part of a team dedicated to the UK rolling stock market, involved in the manufacture, distribution and overhaul of Bogie sets.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing manual handling of various tools, ensuring operation within a trained manner Ensure proper health & safety requirements are met at all times – including clear work spaces, PPE as well as training to help drive positive culture Perform work to work instructions & route cards Work with colleagues in the team to deliver the best outcomes for customers – undertaking tasks such as going underneath bogies, utilising correct equipment to complete tasks

The ideal candidate:

Previous experience in a sector involving engineering fitting (ideally rail) but background such as road transport and aerospace considered Either an apprenticeship certification in a relevant mechanical field, or equivalent qualification Ability to work from physical instructions, apply these principles in line with working process Flexibility to carry out a broad range of tasks across the whole manufacturing process and undertake additional training where needed An understanding of lean principles in manufacturing
