EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for an Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Engineer to join a precision engineering company located in Tamworth, working on a permanent basis.

  Our client manufactures small to large complex components for high-profile customers within a wide range of market-leading companies, therefore, we require an Assembly Engineer to join their existing talent team.

  Your responsibilities will include:
  
  
• Work to detailed engineering drawings and schematics
  
  
• Assemble machined components
  
  
• Working with various hand tools and equipment
  
  
• Working on hydraulic circuits and fixtures
  
  Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
  
  
• Strong mechanical knowledge
  
  
• Minimum 5 years assembly experience
  
  
• Mechanical qualification, apprenticeship or time served
  
  
• Able to assemble small, medium and large parts
  
  
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems
  
  
• Able to use hand held assembly tools
  
  
• Confidence bending and forming parts
  
  
• Manual machining experience - grinding, lathes and mills
  
  
• Able to troubleshoot and handle complex assembly issues
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  
  
• Experience with electrical circuits and controls is highly desirable
