Position: Material Controller

Salary: competitive

Location: Pershore

Working hours: 7:00am to 3:45pm Monday to Thursday, Fridays 7:00 to 01:00 pm

We are now seeking to recruit a Material Controller to work for a busy manufacturing company based in Pershore. The appropriate Material Controller will be reporting to the Materials Manager, the main role of the Materials Controller is to maintain the required level of stock accuracy via a proactive and systematic inventory management approach. The role is essential to understanding the ERP system and conducting root cause analysis where a discrepancy is identified whilst producing robust corrective actions or process changes to avoid recurrence

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Producing stock counting lists for the Materials team as per the defined counting strategy and ensuring counts are conducted accurately and completed on time.
Thoroughly investigate any identified discrepancies, complete required adjustments and conduct an in-depth root cause analysis whilst working to create robust correct actions to resolve the problems identified.
Periodic inbound component stock counting and reporting on suppler adherence to packaging standards.
Support of wider materials improvements including digitalisation of processes and working towards always improving accuracy and efficiency.
Oversight of all stock transactions in the system including movement of components between the two production sites, stocktake adjustments and supporting the Quality and containment processes for physical and system stock.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Experience working with MRP or ERP systems for stock management
Experience with MS Office including MS Excel
Proven problem solver with a high attention to detail
Experience with manufacturing environment would be advantageous
Scissor lift operator licence advantageous (training will be provided)
