My client is a well-established and highly respected organisation within the maritime industry. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are currently looking for an experienced Marine Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities for the Marine Engineer:

•    Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of marine engines and propulsion systems and Gearboxes (inboard and outboard).

•    Conduct fault finding and rectification of mechanical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.

•    Perform routine servicing, upgrades, and system installations.

•    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

•    Maintain accurate service records and reports.

•    Collaborate with technical teams and report to senior engineering staff or project managers.

Essential Skills & Qualifications of the Marine Engineer:

•    Proven experience working with marine engines and systems (e.g., Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Honda, Suzuki).

•    Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, Marine Engineering Apprenticeship).

•    Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

•    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

•    Full UK driving licence (if travel to various sites is required).

•    Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

•               Confident with 12v and 24v DC electrics and electronics.

•    Experience Automotive Mechanics will also be considered
