Manufacturing Technician
Location: Glasgow
Role: Full Time
Hours: 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week

Due to demand we're looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Glasgow to Support us in the manufacturing process and test of multiple military based products.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Optical alignment and construction of optical subassemblies
- Complex optical bonding using a mixture of optical adhesives
- Optical handing and cleaning
- Analysis of optical components using interferometers etc.
- Calibration of optical subassemblies and tooling
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams
About you
- A good understanding of general physics
- Good practical and experimental skills
- Inquisitiveness - ability to question results and then answer those questions
- Self-motivated and capable of working alone and within teams
- Good written and oral communication skills to allow effective communication with peers, and both technical and non-technical customers.
Desirable
- Knowledge of optical instruments
- Knowledge of interferometry
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Experience with opto- mechanical components and manufacture.
- Optical handing and cleaning
- Optical bonding
