Manufacturing Technician & Operators - We need you!
Location: Templecombe, Somerset
The role:
It is an exciting time at Thales Templecombe (Somerset) as we look to grow our manufacturing team dedicated to development and production of sonar systems for submarines and surface ships. We are world class leaders in our field so if you have manufacturing experience in a high precision engineering environment, come join our team to develop your experience into expertise!
It would be brilliant if you have experience in wiring, soldering and building electrical assemblies, as you'll be performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with appropriate engineering drawings and documents.
We are recruiting for multiple positions, you would be working as part of a team of a shift pattern working 9.25 hours a day 4 days a week (Monday- Thursday). However shifts may be subject to change based on customer needs. Competitive shift allowance provided.
What you'll do:
- Produce on time and to quality manufacture of Electrical assemblies
- Escalating blockers and issues to team Leader
- Escalating Health and safety issues to team Leader
- Ensuring 5S standards are met
- Ensuring any quality non-conformances are logged and escalated
Experience required:
- Experience in wiring - but not essential
- Proven experience in building electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Previous soldering experience is ideal
- The ability to interpret a build pack (drawings and wiring diagrams)
- Eligible to obtain full SC clearance at UK eyes only
