Maintenance Engineer – Maintenance & improvement projects
Salary: £42,956 + benefits (DAYS)
Location: Telford, Shropshire

Reporting to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for both managing and supporting maintenance department projects. The role will have both hands-on and contractor management responsibilities dependant on the scale of project and provide support to the maintenance facilities team as required.
o Support maintaining team through CAPEX project and process improvement
o Leading and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver right-first-time projects.
o Leading and supporting maintenance projects to further improve plant KPIs (OEE, machine uptime).
o Delivering departmental capex projects and cost reduction projects.
o Working alongside the Project Manager you will develop and implement CAPEX projects.
o Adherence to H&S policy, procedure, and targets and ensure contractors adhere to same.

Experience
The successful applicant will be a competent Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Electrician with experience gained in a volume manufacturing / automated environment. This position is ideal for a seasoned Maintenance Engineer that wants to move off the tools and shift work for a better work life balance.
o Time served apprentice in mechanical / electrical engineering
o Proven production machinery and plant installation experience couple with a broad range of engineering principles
o Good understanding of Health & Safety & Safe Systems of Work: RAMS, Permits to Work etc
o Worked on new capital equipment upgrade, improvement projects or new machine installation 
o Project management experience
o Sub contractor management & control experience

The opportunity:
Working Monday to Friday 37.5 hour per week on a permanent day shift.
