Job Description

Are you an experienceC++/Qt Software Architectwith unmatched expertise in crafting innovative solutions? This is your chance to tackle an exciting challenge: designing next-generationIntelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) systemsfor the maritime defence sector. With your deep knowledge ofC++ and Qt frameworks, you will play a pivotal role in creating robust interfaces that deliver new functionality while preserving criticalUI/UX standardsrelied upon in mission-critical scenarios.

This role will be hybrid with 3 days per week on-siterequirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the redesign and development of advanced HCI/HMI solutionsfor naval ISR systemsin the defence sector.
  • Apply your expert-level knowledge of C++ and Qtto architecthigh-performance, scalable, and secure systems.
  • Take ownership of the software architecture, ensuring robust designs that meet operational requirements and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Maintain and enhance UI/UX consistency, enabling new functionalities without disrupting end-user workflows.
  • Write detailed software design documentsand requirement specifications, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Uphold the highest standards of secure coding practices for mission-critical systems in the defence environment.


Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experiencein C++development with a mastery of the language and its application in complex systems.
  • Extensive expertise in Qt frameworks, including proficiency in designing and implementing custom UI components.
  • Proven track record of delivering sophisticated HCI/HMI solutionsfor complex, mission-critical environments.
  • Advanced skills insoftwarearchitecture, requirement specification, and system design.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments, preferably in defence, aerospace, or naval sectors.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of large-scale software initiatives.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Sole British citizenship.
  • Eligibility for SC Clearance.
