About the job
•Reporting to the Design Manager
•Responsible for leading the Project Engineers across the business in the engineering delivery of our projects:
•Assigning resource to the schemes in line with IWS process
•Generation of project scopes, resource, engineering requirements and programmes
•Acting as Lead Project Engineer for the business
•Compliance with statutory and framework/client specifications
•Reviewing & submitting Construction Phase Plan & RAMS
•Attending and completing HAZOP/HAZCOM/FAT/SAT works
•Input and update of designer’s risk assessments
•Close out of defects/snagging checks
•Completing Design & Engineering reviews with the Lead Designers and wider Design & Project Engineering Team
•Be a mentor for your team and colleagues
•Work with the Project, Engineering & Operation teams to eliminate or reduce risk during the design and construction stages.
•Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, internal governance and processes are followed
•Support tenders across the business
•Participate in client initiatives and proactively promote health & safety performance
•Review subcontractor tenders, designs, and performance
About the successful applicant
•Have excellent organisational, communication, time management and decision-making skills
•Knowledge of MS Office & design packages
•HND or Degree qualified or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical/process engineering
•Working knowledge of CDM Regulations & duties, and NEC Contracts
•Ability to work and manage multiple discipline projects with appropriate experience in project planning within the water industry preferred but not essential
•Be a ‘can do’ person with excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Requires a full driving licence – travel between offices and sites is a mandatory part of this role
