Launch Vehicle Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) Engineer - UK (m/f/d)
Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is seeking a skilled Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) Engineer to join our UK team. The AIT Engineer will be responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of launch vehicle stages and full vehicles, as well as final checkouts in preparation for Launch operations.
Your Tasks
Assemble, integrate and testing of stages of the RFA ONE launch vehicle, including mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems Ensure all components are assembled according to engineering specifications and safety standards Perform alignment and calibration of integrated systems Develop and execute AIT plans and procedures Conduct pre-rollout checks and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing Analyze test data and document results, providing feedback to the engineering team Maintain detailed records of assembly, integration, and testing activities Implement and adhere to quality control processes to ensure the reliability and safety of launch vehicle systems Work closely with design, manufacturing, and project management teams to ensure the efficient execution of AI activates Provide technical support during launch campaigns and other critical operations
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline Experience in assembly, integration, and testing within the aerospace industry or a related field is a plus Proficiency in the use of CAD software, preferably Siemens NX Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems Experience with test equipment and instrumentation, including pressure and temperature sensors, load cells, and data acquisition systems Previous involvement in launch vehicle AIT operations is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Fluent in oral and written English
