Are you a lab technician from a materials testing or electro-mechanical components manufacturing background?

The opportunity:

As an Assistant Laboratory Technician working within this automotive development function, you will support Senior Technicians in physical teardowns and sectioning of components predominately EV Batteries ensuring accurate measurements and preparation of solid and liquid samples for analysis. You'll work with various materials and equipment, adhering to safety standards and contributing to process development for optimal testing outcomes.

Key roles and responsibilities:

. Follow laboratory procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

. Accurately make and measure samples, recording data and observations.

. Assist in the physical preparation of material samples for analysis.

. Maintain laboratory equipment and support facility maintenance.

. Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments.

Qualifications and experience

. Science or Engineering qualification at L3 or higher, ideally BTec HNC or equivalent.

. Experience with test/measurement equipment and mechanical tools.

. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

. Proficiency in recording and communicating experimental data.

. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

. Knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.

. Familiarity with laboratory equipment like microscopes and testing machines.

. Experience in a materials lab environment.
