Space Domain Awareness Orbital Analyst vacancy inSouth West OR South East (039lw) Region: London and South East,Remote/Home working, South West Our client, a trusted spacetechnology company offering secure and reliable communicationsolutions, are currently developing their Space Domain Awareness(SDA) services to support military, civil and commercial customersworldwide, with the aim of helping to protect critical spaceinfrastructure while enabling safe and sustainable spaceoperations. The SDA Orbital Analyst will play a key role inmonitoring, analysing, and predicting the behaviour of spaceobjects. It’s essential that candidates are either currently in aSpace Domain Awareness / Space surveillance, tracking role OR comewith at least 2 years commercial experience - the role can be fulltime/or hybrid based in either the South West OR South East site.You will develop and use analytical tools and processes to producetimely, high-quality data sets and products for military, civil andcommercial decision-makers. You will collaborate closely with amultidisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers todevelop SDA capabilities to meet the evolving demands ofinternational space markets. You will also help to shape the SDAstrategy; participate in proposal development; and create technicalSDA solutions to meet key customer requirements. JobResponsibilities 1. Planning, scheduling, and executing SDA sensortaskings to optimize the collection of relevant data. 2.Interpreting, analysing, and fusing multi-source SDA data, fromboth space-based and ground-based RF and optical systems. 3.Developing decision-quality data products within operationallyrelevant timescales to meet customer requirements. 4. Developingnew analytical tools and/or processes to maximise the potential ofGES sensor and data platform capabilities. 5. Engaging withexisting and potential customers to tailor SDA solutions to theirneeds. 6. Providing technical SDA advice to the businessdevelopment and marketing teams. 7. Monitoring relevant SDAmarketplaces and uploading product offerings. 8. Providingtechnical consulting services in support of projects, programmes,and operational experimentation. 9. Authoring technicaldocumentation in support of bid proposals, consulting projects andproduct validation. 10. Providing technical presentations andadvice to the Board and Senior Management Team when required. 11.Representing the client at UK and International space sectorevents. Essential Criteria 1. Minimum of 5+ years’ experience inthe space industry or related field (e.g. RF engineering or radardevelopment). 2. Minimum of 2+ years professional experience inSpace Surveillance and Tracking (SST), Space Domain Awareness (SDA)and/or space system operations with a comprehensive understandingof SDA, Space Weather, and SST modelling and analysis. 3. Acomprehensive understanding of orbital mechanics, astrodynamics,and atmospheric physics. 4. Broad understanding and experience indata analysis and analytical software utilisation includingexperience in the development of automated scripts and/or simplesoftware products. 5. Working knowledge of data mining, dataanalysis and data visualization tools. 6. Skilled in one or more ofthe following programming languages: Fortran, C/C++, Java, Matlab,Python, SQL, Java-script. 7. Willing to undergo criminal backgroundchecks and eligible to hold SC security clearance. 8. It would bedesirable to have demonstrable project or programme managementexperience, understanding of the strategic necessity for SDA &a commitment to continued professional development.
