Required Skills:

  • HNC, HND, or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience working with ICA and telemetry systems

  • Hands-on experience configuring, testing, and maintaining RTUs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC, Ethernet)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for PLCs and fault diagnosis

  • Solid understanding of SCADA fundamentals and network basics

  • Ability to produce clear and accurate technical reports and site surveys

  • Good knowledge of health and safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments

  • Competent in IT systems, basic networking, and cybersecurity considerations

  • Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK and Ireland

    Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with UK water industry standards (WIMES)

  • Electrical qualifications such as BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) or ECS/JIB Gold Card

  • Experience with instrumentation calibration and commissioning

  • Knowledge of advanced networking concepts like VPNs and firewalls

  • Additional technical documentation and report-writing expertise

  • EUSR Water Hygiene Certificate or Thames Water Passport

    Preferred Education and Experience:
    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in ICA or related systems, with proven hands-on skills in installation, troubleshooting, and configuration. Relevant qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.

    Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel frequently, including initial trips to Ireland

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to health and safety standards

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse environments
