The Role

As HSE Manager, you will play a key leadership role, ensuring that robust HSE practices are embedded across their operations. You will lead on risk assessments, compliance, audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives—ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies in line with current legislation and industry best practice

  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented

  • Promote a culture of safety, ownership, and accountability at all levels

  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and inductions

  • Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management and sustainability initiatives

  • Liaise with external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, insurers, and certification auditors

    What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar HSE role within the manufacturing/engineering industry

  • Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation

  • IOSH membership or NEBOSH qualification (desirable)

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to influence and engage at all levels
