Description
We are looking for the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager who will deliver a culture of safety first, where we aspire to be a zero-harm organisation with a robust and highly effective health and safety management system, setting best class standards and driving improvement at every opportunity.
To be successful in this role the individual must be able to show leadership and determination to drive the HSE agenda across our UK site.
Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Promote a single way of working to underpin the cohesive and coherent delivery of Health, Safety & Well-being management across the site
· Working with the site leadership team, ensure effective and compliant processes and procedures are integrated into daily business activities
· Stay abreast of all HSE rules, regulations, and legal requirements, evolving business HSE systems as necessary to ensure full compliance
· Embed good behaviours and working practises throughout the business and initiate activity to create and sustain a strong H&S culture
· Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g., risk assessments, risk management, fire regulations, COSHH, PUWER, PPE, noise, air quality, safeguarding machinery, etc.
· Liaise with external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders as necessary
Profile
· Minimum of a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
· Essential - proven experience in a Health and Safety role in a manufacturing business, ideally from automotive, aerospace, Chemical,industrial or FMCG sectors
· Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to be assertive when necessary, but approachable and with an ability to influence others from top to bottom of the organisation
· Good Project Management skills, able to lead projects from initial scoping through to completion
· Proficient with Microsoft Office software including SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Job Offer
£55,000 to £65,000 plus benefits
