YT Technologies is on the lookout for a Head of Engineering to join one of our clients. This is a key leadership role driving the development of next-gen UAV platforms and related tech.

You'll work closely with the Technical Director to shape and execute the engineering strategy, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver innovative, high-impact projects from concept through to flight-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities



Defining and delivering engineering strategy alongside senior leadership

*

Leading a talented team of engineers across mechanical, systems, and prototyping disciplines

*

Managing the full lifecycle – from design and build through to testing and field deployment

*

Bringing clarity, structure, and technical excellence to projects in an agile environment

*

Engaging with customers and supporting business development from a technical standpoint

Essential Requirements;

*

Strong engineering leadership experience, ideally in Defence, Aerospace, Robotics etc.

*

Background in mechanical, aerodynamics, propulsion or mechatronics

*

A solid understanding of systems thinking, prototyping, and design-for-flight

*

Confident communicator with a knack for solving complex problems under pressure

*

Eligible (or already cleared) for SC security clearance
