Spraybooth Technology Limited is one of the UK’s leading innovators in spraybooth design and manufacture with a growing customer base, which includes vehicle manufacturers, independent and franchised bodyshop networks. STL has also become a leading supplier of bespoke spraybooths for commercial vehicle and rolling stock manufacturers and the aerospace industry.

This role requires somebody who is self-motivated, team orientated and able to demonstrate initiative.

As the head of department you would primarily be office based, working on electrical designs and layouts, writing or modifying Logo or PLC software and will occasionally be required to write HMI touch panel software then ensuring all paperwork and other formalities are continued.

You must also have the ability to use AutoCad for the design of electrical schematics and panel device layouts.

The successful candidate should be able to lead a department of in-house electrical technicians who are responsible for assembling and testing control panels. Additionally, you would be computer literate and able to use the standard Microsoft Office programs as some your additional responsibilities will include checking departmental stock levels and reordering.

A Full clean UK driving license is essential as occasional travel to site (UK based) will be required to assist our site engineers in commissioning or fault finding.

Excellent communication skills will be required to provide telephone support to our site engineers in addition to liasiing with outside businesses designing software to improve functionality to customer specification.

Addtional duties will include the compilation and delegation of workload within the department. Advantageous, but not essential would be having experience of wiring, live testing and fault-finding skills
