Job Title: Graduate Electrical Engineer

Location: Telford

Contract type: Permanent


We are searching for Graduate Electrical Engineer to join a leading UK automation solutions provider and systems integrator.

In this role you will be responsible for specifying, designing, assembling, testing, installing and commissioning of electrical control systems.

Our client works with customers from all industries, ranging from transport, manufacturing, marine and aerospace.


Role Responsibilities – Graduate Electrical Engineer

  • Complying with relevant legislation.
  • Applying industry standards and best practice.
  • Following internal processes.
  • Pre-sale evaluation of customer requirements, preliminary design of solutions, sizing and selection of major components and equipment, cost estimation.
  • Post-sale finalisation of the design concept.
  • Detailed design of the electrical system.
  • Design and programming of control and visualisation software.
  • Assembly and testing of control system designed at the hardware design stage.
  • Installation and commissioning of the electrical control system on the customer site.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as required.


The Successful Graduate Electrical Engineer will possess the following:

  • Minimum 2:1 Electrical Engineering Degree, ideally with a focus on Power Electronics
  • Relevant undergraduate placement experience
  • A passion for electrical control systems
  • Being a great team player as well as the ability to work off own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
  • Confident and pro-active with an organised approach to work
  • Situational adaptability
  • Good problem solver
  • Hands on attitude
  • Enthusiastic and able to be relied upon
