Positions are available working within the Engineering department for atwo yearfixed term Graduate Engineer. These positions are designed for graduates with a MEng / BEng degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. Candidates will have the opportunity to apply their academic innovative knowledge learnt through their degree to a real work environment with many responsibilities.

The successful candidate will work within the GE Aerospace Wales Engineering team in a Graduate Engineer capacity. The role will be office based but will require a large percentage of time to be spent on the shop floor to develop your skills and capability. During this time you will learn and developing your skills and capability with the objective being that you grow and can provide daytoday technical support to maintenance technicians. You will have an opportunity to work with professional engineers on projects that ensure continuous improvements and growth to the business and the teams around you.

The role will provide exposure to hardware from GE90 and CFM56 product lines. The successful candidate will need to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver results. This position will require a high level of crossfunctional team working with departments outside of Engineering such as operations planning quality sourcing and EH&S.

As part of the graduate program the company will support application of the professional accreditation of IENG.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Wales Engineering team in daytoday activities

  • Learn how to compile technical documentation

  • Learn how to verify technical data

  • Use of computer systems to communicate technical data to workforce

  • Develop analytical skills and introduce process improvement

  • Liaise with the OEM and customer Engineers

Required Qualifications

A minimum 2:1 Accredited Bachelors or a Mastersdegree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to reprioritize workload under short deadlines in afast paceddynamic environment

  • Unquestionable integrity and discretion will need to deal with proprietary information

  • Flexible to work extended hours as circumstances dictate

  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC business applications (PowerPoint Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Proactive accurate and detail orientated

  • Willing to take on a variety of tasks with little supervision

  • Knowledge of Aircraft Propulsion systems/hardware

  • Component repair and special process knowledge

  • General understanding of Aviation/MRO business

  • Placement/summer internship within Engineering
