Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the logistics and transportation industry? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Goods In Operative to join our dynamic team in Bishop's Cleeve. Our organisation specialises in providing top-notch logistic support services and packaging solutions to leading sectors, including aerospace, defence, advanced engineering, science & technology, and electronics across the UK, Europe, and the USA.

Position Details:

Contract Type: Temp To Perm
Location: Bishop's Cleeve, Cheltenham
Start: ASAP
Hours:- Monday & Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Lunch: 30-minute unpaid break

    What You'll Do:

    As a Goods In Operative, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that incoming deliveries are processed efficiently and accurately. Your key responsibilities will include:

    Unloading and booking in incoming deliveries with precision.
    Removing packaging from pallets to prepare goods for inspection.
    Releasing stock onto the system for proper location management.
    Processing delivery paperwork and uploading it onto our systems.
    Conducting quality checks on incoming goods to maintain high standards.
    Investigating delivery discrepancies, including missing, damaged, or incorrect stock.
    Liaising with suppliers to resolve any delivery issues swiftly.
    Handing over deliveries to the inspection team for further processing.
    Answering phone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate departments.
    Supporting the warehouse team with additional tasks as needed.

    What We're Looking For:

    To thrive in this role, attention to detail and data entry accuracy are essential. A Counterbalance FLT licence is desirable but not mandatory. Pre-employment checks will be conducted to ensure the highest standards.
