Our client, a leading aerospace organisation based in Farnborough, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Stores Operative to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the stores and logistics function, ensuring all goods movements are conducted in full compliance with ITAR regulations and aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders in accordance with specifications and ITAR compliance.

  • Book work orders to stock and store inventory in the appropriate locations.

  • Reorder and maintain appropriate stock levels of gas bottles.

  • Manage and control inventory of packaging materials.

  • Perform Goods Inwards tasks: receive, check, and book UK and international purchase orders.

  • Monitor and manage shelf-life parts to ensure traceability and compliance.

  • Conduct daily cycle counts and support inventory audits.

  • Prepare and label all outgoing shipments, including those bound for Mexico.

  • Accurately update stock movements and adjustments within the Baan ERP system (or equivalent), using correct reason codes.

  • Digitally process and upload documents via AutoForm or similar systems.

  • Ensure the stores area is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.

    Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a stores or logistics role within an aerospace or regulated environment.

  • Working knowledge of ITAR compliance and handling of export-controlled materials.

  • Proficient in Baan ERP or similar inventory control systems.

  • AS13001 approval (or equivalent) is preferred.

  • Strong computer literacy and documentation accuracy.

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Comfortable working within defined processes and regulatory guidelines
