Job Description

Are you a skilledFirmware Engineerwith a passion for innovation in thedefence and aerospace sector? At ALTEN UK, we are seeking talented engineers to support high-impact projects across various programs in the UK. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edgeFPGA architecturesand technologies, shaping solutions that make a real difference. Location:

Flexiblewithin theUK. Hybrid working model based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement complex designs usingFPGA development toolssuch asVivado, Diamond, Radiant, Vitis, or Propel.
  2. Design digital electronics using hardware development languages likeVHDLorSystem Verilog.
  3. Architect and verify test benches usingVHDL, System Verilog, or C++, with advanced methodologies such asOSVVM/UVVMorUVM.
  4. Simulate designs using tools likeSiemens ModelSimorQuestaSim.
  5. Work with advanced communication and interface technologies, includingPCIe, Ethernet, Serial Comms, AXI4, and CameraLink.
  6. Ensure compliance with process assurance standards, such asDO254, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, and OpenCPI.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Strong experience withFPGA architectures, includingAMD/XilinxandLattice.
  2. Proficiency with FPGA development tools and scripting languages likeTCL.
  3. Deep understanding of verification methodologies and simulation tools.
  4. Familiarity with interface technologies and standards, includingJESD204, SMPTE, and CameraLink.
  5. Experience withalgorithm developmentand digital electronic design.
  6. Knowledge of process assurance and cyber security standards.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  1. Sole British citizenship
  2. Eligible forSC Clearance.
