Fire & Security Engineer

Reading/Oxford

£35K - £45K (DOE)

My client specialises within the fire & security sector and due to company expansion, they are on the lookout for an experience engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities – Fire & Security Engineer

Service and maintain a variety of systems and equipment under contract to the company.
When called upon to work with subcontractors take a lead as the company employee to ensure the work being undertaken are to the standard expected of an ISO 9001 quality assured provider.
Maintain a minimum level of Health & Safety training including Asbestos Awareness, Ipaf & ECS and other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the company.
Complete appropriate online documentation immediately after the works have been completed and obtain a client signature to prove works completed satisfactorily.
Manage and maintain company plant, PPE, equipment and stock levels within the vehicle.  Report any damage or shortages to the office to enable replacements to be arranged as necessary.
Be aware of the Quality Management System which includes policies in place to support the business and its aims including but not limited to Health & Safety, Environmental, Data Protection, Anti-bribery & equality.  Further information can be found in QCD 4000 Staff Handbook.
Ensure the company vehicle is maintained and in road worthy condition always; including lights, brakes, tyres, windscreen, roof rack & weight.
Report immediately any issue which might cause reputational damage to the business or including accidents and health & safety issues.
Qualifications & Experience – Fire & Security Engineer

Qualifications / Certificates of training for Gallagher, Avigilon, Honeywell, FIA, Apollo or Gent.
Advanced Health & Safety training such as SSSTS or Petrol Passport
Experience of the Microsoft 365 software package including but not limited to SharePoint and Field Service
Holder of a valid current driving licence.
Familiarity with IT packages such as Word, Excel & Outlook
Ability to organise own work with limited supervision.

£35K - £45K (DOE)
On call 1 in 6 weeks
Company Car/Van
Fuel card
Profit share
23 days holiday rising to 25 days after 3 years
The company will also complete a DBS check
