Finance Systems Assistant

Grade:Dependent on experience
Location:Lancaster, UK.  Flexible work options may be available
Salary range:Negotiable - full-time/part-time (min. 0.6 FTE)

Summary

We are looking for a Finance Systems Assistant to support our finance team by ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our financial and project management systems. The role involves assisting with system administration, troubleshooting issues and providing colleagues support to ensure the smooth execution of customer projects. 
In addition to finance system support, you will perform a variety of financial tasks on a daily basis and may also assist with general office administration duties as needed. 
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be confident in liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve queries, as well as working collaboratively with internal staff at all levels.


Roles and Responsibilities

Main Activities
  • Invoicing for all Yordas entities from our ERP System (SAP)
  • Train and support users in understanding and using the system effectively
  • Troubleshooting
  • Support with system maintenance
  • Month end processing
  • Processing of purchase and sales invoices to the ledgers
  • Credit control duties
  • Any other financial admin


Profile and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with systems and finance procedures - we will consider both junior and more experienced candidates
  • Experience working with finance or project management systems; SAP knowledge would be an advantage
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A natural aptitude for interpreting and understanding numbers
  • Personable individual skilled at fostering positive and engaging interactions with internal staff and stakeholders.
