Our client, a leading entity in the defence sector, is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join their team in Bristol, UK. This permanent role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in the financial management of projects across aerospace, aviation, and defence sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare financial reporting packages and provide guidance to program managers on variances.

Develop and maintain project baselines, monitor performance, and analyze estimate-at-complete developments.

Oversee and evaluate program budgets and schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

Implement, track, and analyze earned value management (EVM) systems, including maintenance and reporting.

Organize cost and schedule data for monthly program reviews to ensure comprehensive oversight.

Prepare and track funding plans, including forecasts for labor and subcontracting.

Analyze data for monthly forecasting, focusing on orders, sales, operating income, and cash flow.

Prepare Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) based on input from program teams.

Engage in presentations and discussions during internal and external financial meetings.

Establish and nurture effective working relationships to foster a collaborative environment.

Job Requirements:

Experience in finance or accounting within the aerospace, aviation, or defense industries.

Strong skills in financial reporting and analysis.

Proficient in earned value management and project budgeting.

Advanced expertise in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

A proactive approach to problem-solving.

Part-qualified or foundation level ACCA or CIMA.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Prior experience in finance business partnering.
