Job Title: Field Service Engineer 

Location: Cookstown (Field-Based Role)

Pay Range/Details: £45,000 OTE

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and dynamic equipment rental company to recruit a Field Service Engineer for their Cookstown site. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and customer-focused engineer to join a leading business known for delivering quality machinery and first-class service across the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities - Field Service Engineer

Carry out maintenance and repair work on a broad range of heavy plant and powered access machinery, both on customer sites and occasionally in the workshop.

Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues quickly and effectively to minimise equipment downtime.

Provide excellent technical support and customer service, advising clients on equipment operation and usage.

Ensure the highest standards of safety and maintenance compliance at all times.

Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and equipment history documentation.

Work closely with internal teams to enhance operational efficiency and team performance.

Qualifications & Requirements - Field Service Engineer

Proven experience in plant and equipment maintenance and repair.

Strong mechanical expertise with solid knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and electronics.

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail.

Customer-oriented mindset with a professional, reliable approach.

Full valid driving licence is essential for this field-based role.
