Field Service Engineer
Home based national role covering the whole UK.
Some shift work will be required.
Package;

  • Total £54,075.20 (Including shift and call out allowances) + 10% Bonus, Plenty of Overtime and Company Car.
  • 174 hours per month contracted paid door to door.
  • Call out – Contracted 1 week in 3 (Usually 1 in 5)

    Key Responsibilities:
    The Field Service Engineer will primarily be responsible for the visited maintenance contracts which vary in complexity and size. There will also be a requirement to support site teams as required. Field Service Engineers will be safety conscious, with a record of providing solutions to complex problems.
    Duties/Knowledge required;
  • Electrical strip-down/re-assembly, field wiring, machine calibration and system testing.
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Stakeholder management
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to interpret electrical circuit diagrams
  • Health and Safety management
  • Mechanical engineering
  • PLC knowledge
  • Electrical engineering
  • Operate hand tools and be able to assemble parts onto equipment
  • Ability to compile complete and concise visit and breakdown reports
  • Liaising with members of the different engineering departments sharing knowledge and information
    Skills, qualifications and experience
  • Minimum qualification NVQ level 3 or equivalent (BTEC/City & Guilds)
  • Proven experience of dealing with electro-mechanical/PLC/hardware faults and preventative maintenance operations as part of a home-based support infrastructure
  • PLC knowledge
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Practical working knowledge of physics
  • Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Communications skills
  • Appreciation of Cultural Diversity
