An Opportunity to work within world leading provider of specialised engineering equipment.  Our product range is wide and varied, including complex attachments for vehicles and remote controlled systems. 
The Engineering function is a multi-disciplined team that provides technical support to all other functions and is responsible for product design, innovative product development and the delivery of the complete manufacturing and technical data packs associated with our contracts. The team also provides hands-on support for installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment, both internally and at our customers’ sites, all over the world.  

As our Field Sales Representative your primary role will be to leverage your technical and practical expertise to provide technical support during testing, demonstration, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and repair of products both locally on site and on customers sites.  The role also includes maintenance of our demonstration equipment and assets to ensure that they remain in a state of readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Demonstration – Support and perform testing and demonstrations of equipment, systems, or platforms (including operation of demonstration vehicles) or on customer sites. Support and collaborate with personnel to conduct initial system training and demonstrations on proper usage and functionality.
Troubleshooting and Repairs - Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting for systems, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or software issues. Execute repairs and replacement of parts as required to return products to an operational state. Work closely with technical teams for advanced support and escalate critical issues when necessary. Prepare and submit detailed technical service reports, outlining work performed, system status, parts used, and recommended actions for continued system performance.
Demo Fleet Maintenance - Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and upgrades to ensure the long-term reliability and functionality of demonstration vehicles and equipment.
Development Team Technical Support - Provide hands-on technical assistance to Engineering and Project personnel to assemble and commission development / test hardware.
Travel and Flexibility – As required, travel frequently to various customer / installations, training areas, or operational sites, both domestically and internationally.
Safety and Compliance - Adhere to all safety guidelines, regulations, and operational protocols while on-site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security requirements. 
Mentoring - Coaching team members to improve capabilities and develop their practical knowledge/expertise.Skills/Experience

5+ years of experience supporting electro-mechanical systems in a military, or similar environment.
Experience maintaining and operating large wheeled and tracked vehicles. Military vehicle experience is a significant advantage.
Competent practical, hands-on fitting / maintenance experience with electro-mechanical products.
Competent in rigging and the use of lifting equipment.
Valid UK driving licence, experience of large vehicle is an advantage.
Practical working knowledge of hydraulic and control systems.
Experience of PLC control systems diagnostics.
Experience working in the defence, nuclear or aerospace industry is desirable.
Ability to investigate and interpret data, issues, and situations, to make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
Acts with honesty/integrity to build trust, respect, and commitment in the workplace.
Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal awareness and understands and takes into account the thoughts, feelings, and emotions of others.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high quality.
