This post sits within BSI’s Knowledge division. BSI has a unique role as the UK’s National Standards Body. Responsibilities:

Manage impact assessment of commercial and strategic standards and standards-related programmes. Foster strong working relationships across the division, working collaboratively to develop high-quality evaluations.  Ensure that quantitative and qualitative data collected is robust and stands up to scrutiny. Collaborate with colleagues to communicate compelling stories about the impacts of standards to external and internal audiences. Focus on client and stakeholder engagement and internal relationship management. Develop close working relationships with key contacts across the Knowledge division and BSI Group as relevant. Adopt a clear-sighted strategic approach to evaluative evidence establishment. Produce clear, compelling narratives of impact that are developed and disseminated (tailored) to specific audiences.

To be successful in the role, you will have: 

A strong, relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent is essential. A post-graduate qualification is preferred. Significant experience of working on evaluation, including both quantitative and qualitative data collection approaches. Experience of working in or delivering evaluation to the HM Government is desirable. Experience working in a client-side role is desirable. Experience of working with diverse stakeholder groups to define and refine programmes of work. Experience of working directly (face to face and remotely) with clients on evaluation briefs, the design of impact assessment services, and the delivery and presentation of evaluation findings. Experience in developing and working with Logic Models. Strong persuasion and influencing skills. Experience in commissioning or working with external suppliers of evaluative services is desirable. Excellent presentation skills (verbal, written, and formal) IT literate Skilled in working within a matrix management environment Proactive, collaborative, and flexible approach, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines A “can do”, problem-solving approach The desire and ability to quickly learn about emergent innovation, with a focus on sustainability, Net Zero, and social issues and a genuine interest in standardisation, compliance, and its future development
