About the role

As an MTEST Technician, your primary responsibility will be to support our engineers and senior technicians to conduct dynamic, static & life cycle tests for both Mirus Aircraft Seating and external customers.

Your role includes:

  • Supporting and executing Static, Dynamic and Life Cycle test setups in accordance with test procedures.

  • Supporting with dynamic development & certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.

  • Setting up high speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements.

  • Setting up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.

  • Manufacturing and maintaining test fixtures and equipment as necessary.

  • Carrying out development and certification static tests to customer and regulatory requirements.

  • Being responsible for maintenance of static test / life cycle area and equipment.

  • Reviewing existing risk assessments the dynamic test facility and highlight any changes.

  • Supporting dynamic sled maintenance in line with engineer.

  • Being responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping.

  • Helping create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published health and safety procedures.

    To support Mirus in our continued growth, you will bring passion, drive, and a strong ability to innovate and solve problems, coupled with an exceptional focus on customer service. Additionally, you will possess the following skills, experiences, qualifications, and attributes:

    Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.

    Strong mechanical fitting skills.

    Electrical/electronic skills.

    Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

    Desirable:

    HNC/HND in Engineering.

    Welding experience.

    Previous mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience.

    Experienced in a testing environment.

    Photographic experience - Knowledge of photography, high speed data and video capture.

    Data collection experience.

    Personal skills / attributes:

    IT literate.

    Ability to follow written procedures.

    Excellent attention to detail.

    Must be able to work independently or in a team.

    Willingness to learn.

    Flexible and adaptable.

    High level of confidentiality and integrity.

    Be eligible to work in the UK, comfortable commuting or being based in Hingham, Norfolk and work flexible hours.
