Belcan is recruiting on a Permanent basis for an Engineering Team Leader in the Cheshire area.

Hybrid working model - 37.5 hours a week in our Runcorn office.

2 days in the office to support Graduate Engineers & Colleagues.

Suitable candidates will have a good general understanding of Mechanical Engineering principles used within a variety of harsh environments.

The team leader is the direct supervisor for the engineers assigned to their team. The role has a strong focus on engineering delivery and quality, providing a focal for technical governance and support to the team. The Team Leader has significant experience in various technical aspects of the associated team's activities. They aid others to understand (through leadership or mentoring technical policy, process and practice). They are expected to be able to work independently whilst managing /mentoring others. They will undertake escalated problem resolution when required.

The Team Leader will be comfortable working in an Engineering Services environment and will be able to balance the technical responsibilities inherent within the role, with the commercial and project timescale associated with delivery.

Packaging Specific Requirements:

Good understanding of packaging work, rules, processes and tools; including EU and American directives.
Demonstrated proficiency in the design and development of packaging systems, including piping, electrical, large fabrications, acoustic, ventilation/filtration and control systems.
In-depth understanding of packaging regulations, such as IEC, ASME, and class society requirements (e.g., ABS, DNV, Lloyd's Register).
Ability to define, manage and integrate complex systems such as electrical, mechanical, and software systems within packaging installations in a variety of environments (e.g., onshore, offshore, coastal, etc).
Proficient user of Teamcenter and NX, to provide both support and process approval to the engineering team.Education and Experience

Degree or HND in Engineering or related discipline.

Leadership experience in a related function(s). Preferably this should be in a managed service environment

Experienced in creating and forming flexible teams.
