Are you an experienced Engineering Manager or Team Leader with a passion for power electronics, power supply design, and creating innovative, sustainable solutions? We are seeking a skilled, driven leader to manage a dynamic Power Electronics R&D team, where your expertise will accelerate the development of impactful, energy-efficient power solutions across safety-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a talented engineering team focused on developing cutting-edge power electronics, scalable technology platforms, and standardized design methodologies in Southampton, UK.
• Drive team performance and foster a culture of excellence, setting measurable goals aligned with clear strategies.
• Collaborate closely with business leaders to establish technology roadmaps and a pipeline of innovative projects.
What You Bring:
• 10+ years of experience in electronics design and product development, particularly in power electronics.
• Proven track record in leading engineering teams and successfully managing complex projects.
• Deep knowledge in analog/digital circuits, thermal management, control systems, and firmware within power electronics.
• Ability to build strong, effective relationships with cross-functional and global teams.
• Preferred: experience with safety-critical applications (e.g., space, aerospace, rail, automotive, medical etc), Six Sigma certification, and knowledge of compliance standards.
