Are you ready to take on a role that combines strategic leadership and technical engineering expertise in New Manufacturing and Repair Production? Join a leading Aerospace organisation and become the driving force behind the Eurofighter Air Turbine Motor (ATSM). As a key figure, you will hold the Engineering Authority and design delegation, ensuring decisions align with long-term profitability and sustainable competitive advantage.
Key Objectives:
Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering and test support team, fostering motivation, development, and alignment with business goals. Cultivate an environment for a team of suitably qualified and experienced (SQEP) engineers, promoting resilience, flexibility, and engagement. Oversee the development and qualification of industrial methods for new and existing products, meeting customer and regulatory requirements. Implement a comprehensive team communication plan, delivering monthly reports on KPIs for the engineering (Develop) process. Act as the interface between customers and design organizations to identify and rectify product issues early in the process. Identify and implement opportunities for quality improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced delivery of products/services. Collaborate with the Engineering Director on the creation, iteration, and implementation of a rolling three-year business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to company policies and procedures, embodying and leading the company values and behaviors. Conduct performance reviews for team members, ensuring alignment with business goals. Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities as required. Manage and control the configuration and integrity of technical documentation and work instructions. Support the Material Review Board (MRB) process, ensuring timely resolution of issues to restore production activity. Lead Level 1 team meetings, working with the Engineering TL to identify, resolve, transfer, or escalate issues for efficient problem resolution. Develop and adhere to the annual budget for expenses. Participate in the preparation of the budget and sales forecast for the New Production and MRO business units.

Experience:
