We are seeking an experiencedElectronics Engineering Managerto lead our dynamic engineering teams across our Portsmouth site. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the engineering strategy, overseeing development programmes, and ensuring high-quality execution throughout the product lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious engineering leader looking to make an impact in the aerospace/defence sector.

Key Responsibilities for the Electronics Engineering Manager:

  • Lead and develop the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company growth targets and technological strategy.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of customer and internal development programmes from concept to production.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of projects, with a strong focus on quality and compliance (AS9100, MIL Std, etc.).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify capabilities, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the design, testing, and implementation of innovative electronics, hardware, software, and control systems.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and engineering standards.

The appointed Electronics Engineering Manager Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Systems Engineering (Post Graduate qualification beneficial).
  • Proven leadership in electronics hardware, software, and control system design.
  • Experience managing development projects in aerospace/defence.
  • Strong understanding of NPI, FMEA, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communicator, team player, and relationship builder.
