The Electronics Engineer Team Lead will work on diverse technical studies and detailed design projects, supporting activities from initial requirements through to operational phases. This role requires collaboration with project managers to scope and plan development work, manage risks, and ensure compliance with engineering policies.
Lead a team of electronic engineers, managing their workload and developing their capabilities. Work on a range of activities from technical studies, detailed design, development, and test, through to spacecraft support for various institutional, academic, and commercial customers. Engage in the design, development, prototyping, build, and test of electronic devices and systems from initial requirements through to launch and in-orbit operations. Derive and manage technical requirements from mission and system level to subsystem and equipment level. Perform schematic production, component selection, ECAD design, and manage avionics subsystem/unit interfaces. Conduct validation and verification activities at a subsystem level and contribute to these at a system level. Provide technical support to customer inquiries, studies, and R&D projects. Oversee the deployment, assessment, and development of team members to maximize their contributions and meet project requirements. Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline. Significant experience in delivering complex electrical/electronic systems, preferably on satellite programs or other high-tech areas. Proficient in technical tools such as Altium, OrCAD, and PSpice. Experience in testing and test automation. Familiarity with firmware development and FPGA/VHDL (desirable). Knowledge of IEEE component selection best practices and Space Standards (ECSS). Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and deliver to external clients.
