Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer – Permanent

Hertfordshire Area – Attractive – Space and Defence

An Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer is required within an Advanced Space and Defence Services Organisation. The Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer will be an experienced Engineer working on technical Space and Defence projects while shaping the future of Space and Defence Engineering.

The Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer will facilitate Space and Defence Engineering activity, and the Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer will needexperience with Systems Assembly, Systems Integration & System Test. The Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer will be working alongside subject matter experts in a dynamic and growth focused Space and Defence business.

Due to the Space & Defence Products/Platforms involved this is a Fully Onsite Role with no Hybrid.

The Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer you will be required to:

Design / Specification to support Systems (e.g. Electronic Propulsion, Radio Frequency and Central Systems)
Alignment of design with requirement engineering processes (Traceability/Compliance matrix etc.) considering customer level requirements.
Review of supplier documentation / RID generation (e.g. during Tender phase or during formal reviews with the customer)
Support of major customer review processes
Production of relevant technical documentation (e.g. Design reports, User Manuals, Test Procedures)
Oversight of manufacturing processes for platform systems, this may include Procurement,
Managing and prioritizing the manufacturing processes
Validation and certification for use in the Systems facility
First level support for the Systems facility, which may include Commissioning of hardware, Composition of procedures and training.
The Electronic and Electrical Support Engineer Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

Degree in engineering with ideally an electrical or electronics systems background.
Where applicable suitable experience in addition to a lower qualification may be acceptable.

Strong industrial background in areas related to Space and Defence Ideally.
Solid understanding of the technical challenges in this field.
A passion for hands-on engineering able to solve complex problems.
Some knowledge of Space and Defence Systems Engineering and Complex Platforms.
Experience in customer facing roles and business development is also advantageous.
** Security Clearance will be required due to the nature of the Systems involved, therefore applications from British Nationals only able to get full UK-SC Clearance will be accepted **
