EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering

manufacturer, located near Redditch that is currently in the market for a EDM Wire Setter/ Operator to join their company on a permanent basis.

This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components.

What's in it for you?

  • Stability / Longevity: A well established company currently undergoing a period of growth

  • Competitive salary: £14 to £15 per hour plus £2.60 shift allowance

  • Hours: Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am, Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am with permanent Fridays off

    Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and control EDM machines and other equipment in the area, following relevant procedures.

  • Read and understand CNC machine code to the level necessary for machine setup and operation.

  • Comprehend setup parameters and their impact on the machining process, including datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.

  • Set up machines with the appropriate work holding and tooling, adhering to relevant procedures.

  • Perform machining operations efficiently as per Job Card instructions to meet required output levels.

    Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Able to operate EDM machines/ Electro Discharge machines/ Laser machines/ Plasma machines/ Electron Beam Machines or similar equipment.

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
