DMW Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client, for x3 Electricians to join the team on a permanent basis in Teesside.

My client are an established electrical and automation engineering company working in the marine sector supporting their customers globally.

Applicants must have marine or industrial experience.

The Role

The role will include, but not be limited to the following activities:

  • General electrical installation of LV, MV, Control, fibre and data cables. Containment, terminations and testing.

  • Installation of switchboards, distribution boards, variable speed drives, generators, hydraulic power units.

  • Retrofitting of switchgear, alarm & monitoring systems, CCTV, safety systems, Propulsion controls, Battery and super capacitor systems etc.

  • Assisting in workshop with assembly of new equipment and systems such as subsea power & control vans, Switchboards and advanced control systems.

  • Pre commissioning testing such as point to point, insulation and dielectric testing.

  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards, ensuring PPE is maintained and used correctly.

    Skills & Experience

  • Previous electrical marine experience is an advantage but not essential.

  • Understand & interpret electrical schematic drawings.

  • Successful candidates must be able to work flexibly and unsupervised.

  • The role may at times be customer facing and you will act as an ambassador of the company, therefore we are looking for energetic and motivated persons that can form strong and long-lasting customer relationship.

  • Full Driving Licence.

    Qualification requirements:

    Minimum - Time served Apprenticeship, City & Guilds Level 3.

    Benefits

  • 40 Hours Standard Working Hours - 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

  • Basic Salary upto £38,000 depending on experience.

  • With overtime & additional allowances potential earnings £60,000 +

  • Accommodation, travel and meals provided when working away UK or overseas.

  • Workplace Pension with 4% employers’ contribution

  • Annual Holiday Entitlement of 25 days plus Public Holidays – Rising with service
