Location: Birmingham (with occasional UK & worldwide travel)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a fully qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. This is a site-based position, working hands-on with electrical installations, wiring, and commissioning of control panels for advanced fabrication machinery. The role will also involve occasional travel across the UK and internationally to support installation, commissioning, and service projects.

Key Responsibilities



Install, wire, and commission control panels for fabrication machinery.

Undertake electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs.

*

Work closely with the design and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.

*

Support testing, inspection, and compliance with electrical safety standards.

*

Provide on-site technical support during machinery installation and commissioning.

*

Travel occasionally to customer sites within the UK and overseas to deliver electrical engineering support.

*

Ensure all work is completed to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

*

Fully qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

*

Proven experience wiring and commissioning control panels and industrial machinery.

*

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and safety regulations.

*

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

*

Hands-on, practical problem-solving skills.

*

Flexibility to travel across the UK and internationally when required.

*

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Some mechanical knowledge

Desirable Skills

*

Experience within a fabrication or manufacturing machinery environment.

*

Knowledge of PLCs, automation, and industrial controls.

*

18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
