Electrical Engineer
Location: Preferred Northwest and Southwest of England. Remote working with frequent office and client sites visits.

What you'll be doing:
Site surveys and assessments of the capacity of the plant to meet future demands. Feasibility, outline, and detailed electrical design, including P&IDs, instrument schedule, load schedules, load assessments, MCC specifications, cable calculations, system architectures, user requirement specifications, block cable diagrams, single line diagrams, earthing diagrams, I/O schedules, loop diagrams, SCADA and telemetry design and lightning assessments. Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle. Working with multi-disciplinary teams with clients within the UK. Production of general arrangement drawings and detailed electrical design drawings. Supporting bids, fee proposals or offers of service; development of activity schedules/work plans. Understanding of DSEAR, CDM, WIMES, British and European Standards and other statutory, regulatory, and non-regulatory provisions and guidance. Participation in Hazard Studies including HAZOP, HAZCON and HAZCOM. Contributing to the development of standard and bespoke design solutions for the water industry and beyond. Performing calculations and reports, developing schedules etc. Considering CAPEX and OPEX implications of design decisions at all stages of a project.
What you'll bring:
A general understanding of water and sewage treatment processes and the as-sociated equipment/system requirements. Understanding and assessing client needs and objectives to successfully deliver project requirements. Ability to think logically and also creatively ‘outside the box’ to provide differenti-ated solutions to problems, to deliver added value for clients. Experience and expertise in the production of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) design deliverables. Working with Senior and Principal engineers to undertake electrical design either individually or collaboratively within multiple disciplinary teams to agreed standards of safety, time, cost and quality. Production of design deliverables e.g. engineering documents, reports, assessments, calculations etc. Assisting and supporting other members of staff when required. Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values, and culture. Keep up to date with relevant developments within the discipline and maintain CPD. An industry applicable BEng, BSc, or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
