We are working with a prestigious Formula One team to recruit a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer with proven experience using Siemens NX or any other CAD software on long term contract.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the cutting-edge design and development of high-performance electrical systems in one of the most competitive environments in motorsport.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems and components using CAD software.
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for wiring harnesses, connectors, sensors, and control units.
Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and race engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of electrical components.
Ensure compliance with FIA regulations and internal quality standards.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical input throughout the development lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in a motorsport, automotive, or aerospace environment.
Proficiency in electrical design (3D routing, harness design, etc.).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring schematics, and harness architecture.
Familiarity with motorsport-grade components and materials.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
Experience working in Formula One or other high-performance motorsport teams.
Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter).
Understanding of CAN, LIN, and other automotive communication protocols.
