The Job:

My client are seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join their team. This role involves building and wiring control panels, cabinets, and sub-assemblies using panel diagrams and schematics. You’ll take on production tasks that align with your individual skills and experience, ensuring all completed units meet precise specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements. The work includes wiring, soldering, crimping, working with wire harnesses, and lacing to strict naval or aerospace standards.

This is a 6 month temporary assignment working 37.5 hours a week across Monday - Froday. Your core working hours being 08:00 - 16:30, Fri working hours are 08:00 - 14:00.

Key Responsibilities:

Detailed assembly, fitting, and wiring of control panels, following engineering drawings and schematics to guide the build process

Cutting, identifying, lacing, looming, and preparing electrical/electronic wiring and cabling to meet specifications

Installing wire and cable, integrating system elements to create fully functional assemblies

Fabricating and testing cable and/or mechanical assemblies as required

Monitoring and maintaining department stock levels for cabling and related materials

Carrying out all tasks in line with company policies and health & safety regulations

Operating specialised tools and equipment as needed for the role

Experience:

Background of working in Naval, Aerospace, Defence or Marine industries is highly desirable

Strong ability to read and interprut electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Extensive hands-on wiring experience related to panel assembly and control cabinets

Understanding of basic electrical theory

Quality-conscious mindset with attention to detail and precision in work
