Job Description: Quick Release (An Alten Company) is renowned for product data management and consultancy, leading transformation in automotive, aerospace, and robotics industries worldwide. Our mission is to accelerate product time-to-market and improve engineering data quality across the entire product lifecycle, from design to maintenance, focusing on Master Product Data, Prototype Build, Launch, and operational improvements.
Role overview We seek a UK Director of Business Development to lead efforts in Aerospace and Defence . As part of the Global Sales & Marketing leadership team, your goal is to drive revenue growth through lead generation, client expansion, and new business acquisition. Success includes increasing delivery team capacity to meet sales opportunities and improving conversion rates.
Key Responsibilities Develop QR growth and sales strategies.
Define and implement business development plans to grow in aerospace, defence, and high-tech sectors.
Create a lead generation plan aligned with target accounts.
Relationship Management Leverage and nurture networks and referral channels to enhance brand visibility.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Identify new prospects and generate business leads.
Collaborate with Account Managers to expand existing accounts.
Driving success Lead, develop, and mentor the business development team.
Manage sales forecasts and achieve targets.
Prepare client presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
Stay informed on market trends and represent the company at industry events.
Qualifications and experience Proven leadership in business development with team management experience.
Experience in Defence and Security sectors preferred.
Deep understanding of MOD landscape and industry networks.
Experience with Prime contractors and SMEs, procurement processes, and sector insights.
Key skills and personal attributes Strong negotiation and contract knowledge.
Strategic, results-oriented, adaptable, and decisive.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
