Design Approver

Bristol / Hybrid (M5 / M4 / M32 area).

12 month fixed-term contract.

My client is a rapidly expanding Engineering Consultancy, who have been engaged for an exciting aerospace programme. As an organisation, they employ over 16,000 people, across 22 Countries and are proud to house some of the best talent in the industry – all attracted to the organisation by their exciting portfolio (spanning over 300 clients globally) and their excellent reputation in the marketplace.

They are now looking for a Design Approver to join them on this project, on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. Does this sound like the exciting next step of your career?

The key responsibilities of your new role as Design Approver, are as follows:

  • Define design solutions for new components / assemblies and modifications to existing components (Composites and metallic) according to cost, weight, quality, manufacturability, serviceability and performance.

  • To provide evidence of design compliance with Customer / Technical specifications.

  • Prepare drawings and other engineering data required for the manufacturing of the product and data submittal to the customer.

  • Produce ECN as required to support manufacturing, customers, quality, and certification.

    My client is keen to find someone with:

  • Experience in providing design and build services to a customer for a prototype electrical vertical take‐off/landing aircraft.

  • Design Approver Signatory on Airframe structure - metallic and/or composite aero structures

  • Excellent knowledge of Aero structures, Wing, Empennage and Fuselage.

  • Excellent knowledge of computerized design and analysis methods (CATIA V5)

  • Experience with GD&T, (tolerance stack up)

  • Good experience of aerospace Composite (honeycomb) /Metallic materials and manufacturing processes

    In return, my client is offering competitive remuneration, dependent on experience, and you will be able to benefit from a hybrid working model between their office, the Client’s site and home. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
