About the Job
Acting as the voice of the customer, you will work to build and maintain relationships, by providing a point of contact for colleagues and customers, monitoring order process, and providing clear and accurate information for customers.
As part of your main, key duties you will be responsible to:
- Follow workflow of an order and knowing the relevant colleague to ask regarding status
- Provide customer updates on order status
- Understanding the process of fulfilling an order
- Ensure customer orders contain relevant information
- Maintain pricing information on the IT system for customers
- Understand the order book and production scheduling systems
- Ensure data is consistent across IT systems
- Maintain sufficient knowledge and skill to support the team
- Daily order book review
- Update and check daily reports
- Responding to customer enquiries in a timely manner
This role is a full-time 37-40hr position on an 18-24 month fixed-term contract.
Candidate Profile
- Basic knowledge of rubber processing methods and techniques
- Experience of IT systems in the workplace
- SAP experience (desirable)
- Previous experience in manufacturing would be advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- Good commercial awareness
- Confident telephone manner
To be effective in the role, you will need to be highly organised to deliver against deadlines, have an open mind and work to find good practical solutions.
