Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their dynamic and fast-paced Accounts team.

In this role, your primary focus will be on reducing financial risk and supporting profitability by ensuring that all credit extended to customers is collected in full and on time. You'll play a key part in streamlining and improving the debt recovery process-making it more efficient, timely, and mutually beneficial for both the company and its customers.

Key Responsibilities - Credit Controller

Overseeing the debt management of a dedicated portfolio of customer accounts
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account information
Building and nurturing strong B2B relationships with clients
Providing copy invoices and documentation upon request
Releasing accounts from credit hold status following receipt of payment
Engaging with customers via phone and email to address queries and ensure timely resolution
Collaborating with area sales representatives and internal departments to resolve account discrepancies
Handling customer complaints by gathering relevant information and offering effective solutions
Opening and closing customer accounts in line with company procedures
Processing daily allocations of payments and refunds
Releasing pro-forma orders once account payments have been confirmed
Updating ledgers with account hold reasons and resolutions
Performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
Preparing and sending monthly reports to the Accounts Manager regarding outstanding invoices
Qualifications & Requirements - Credit Controller

2 years+ in a similar role
Excellent customer service
Patience and the ability to remain calm
Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail
The ability to listen and negotiate with customers
Excellent verbal communication
Persistence and determination
Familiarity with data entry software
Ability to work well in a team
