Dynamic automation company with over 25 years’ experience in the field of advanced industrial automation is currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their team of technical Engineers. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to interesting projects for a range of industries. This role is open to Junior Engineers.

£35,000 - £50,000 + Flexitime, Pension & Paid Overtime.

Control Systems Engineer – The Job:

Fully test and commission the equipment and machinery to ensure a successful FAT & SAT
Programme a range of robots including ABB, KUKA, FANUC, Yaskawa
Determine customer/process requirements from discussions and technical documentation
Produce customer sign off and technical documentation such as functional design specifications
Liaise with suppliers to ensure suitable equipment function and operation within cost and schedule
Communicate accurate project status to the project leads, enabling pro-active planning
Alongside the wider design team produce required technical documentation complying with UK and international standards and machinery directive, including risk assessments and machinery manuals
Provide on-site training for customer and machine operators
Carry out design or timing calculations either by hand or using software
Collaborate with wider design teams and departments to improve functions and processes
Control Systems Engineer – The Person:

Degree/equivalent or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
Experience with Siemens and Rockwell programming software. (TIA Portal, RSLogix, WinCC etc)
Possess a good understanding of engineering principles in control system design
Experience in bespoke/special purpose machine building and design
Experience with vision and sensing systems, robotics & automation
Preferably a history of design for industries such as food, automotive, aerospace and pharmaceuticals
A good understanding and experience of UKCA/CE Technical file creation including risk assessments
This role involved around 20% commissioning work so candidates must be willing to travel around the UK & outside when required
Role would be commutable from Manchester, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Stockport, Cheadle & all surrounding areas.
