Compliance Manager - Facilities Management
About the Role:
We are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead statutory compliance across all operational buildings within the borough. You will ensure that properties meet regulatory standards, provide expert compliance advice, and manage audits, reporting, and remedial actions. This role involves working closely with the Facilities Management team, contractors, and senior stakeholders to uphold compliance across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a compliance monitoring and reporting strategy.
  2. Ensure statutory compliance across all properties, including leased buildings.
  3. Maintain and update facilities compliance records using CAFM or other systems.
  4. Monitor changes in legislation and provide updates to the FM team.
  5. Identify and address compliance gaps through audits and remedial actions.
  6. Manage compliance staff and oversee specialist contractors.
  7. Escalate non-compliance issues and deputise for the Head of Facilities Management when required.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in building services compliance management.
  2. Strong knowledge of statutory property legislation and health & safety.
  3. Experience managing compliance across corporate and satellite sites.
  4. Qualification in building services, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  5. IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or working towards it).
  6. Ability to work flexibly, including on-call availability for emergencies.
